2021 ICMH Fellowship for Research Projects on Military History

On 14 September 2021, following a careful process of selection among numerous detailed proposals, the Jury decided to award the 2021 “ICMH Fellowship for Research Projects on Military History” to Dr Héctor M. Strobel del Moral, Postdoctoral researcher at the National Autonomous University of Mexico, for his project of research under the title “The Mexican Military Organization against the French Intervention, 1862-1867”.

The winner of the Corvisier Prize 2021

The President, Prof. Dr Massimo de Leonardis, announced on 18 June 2021 that the Jury, after a careful process of selection which included drawing a shortlist, unanimously decided to award the 2021 Corvisier Prize to Dr Paul J. Welch Behringer for his American University (Washington, DC) dissertation “U.S. and Japanese Intervention in the Russian Civil War: Violence and ‘Barbarism’ in the Far East”.

André Corvisier Prize 2022

The International Commission of Military History awards the André Corvisier Prize for PhD theses on Military History, named after the distinguished French scholar who was for ten years President of ICMH and then President of Honour. For the 2022 edition, the prize will be awarded for a PhD thesis discussed and approved in 2021 in a recognized University.
